This is a list of the most useful transport links that we have found.
AST Microbus – provide a sherpa service – taking the luggage from one hotel to the next. Excellent service and the only company we have found so far in the region who understood the concept of this. They provided the service for most of the coastal route from Grasse to Torre Superiore, but not from Courmes. There were 6 of us so it was economical.
SNCF -rail timetables for the coastal line from Marseille to Menton, and the lines to Grasse, and Drap/Cantaron.
TER PACA – SNCF -includes the train de Merveilles which serves Drap/Cantaron and the valley of the Roya valley.
Dbahn – this timetable search covers the whole of Europe. Excellent for looking at intermediate station stops on all routes.
Liguria Region bus timetables – covers the Italian border towns including Torre Superiore and Ventimiglia.
Riviera Transporti - Ventimiglia, San Remo and Imperia. Bus number 1 travels from Ventimiglia to the French border. Walk across and catch a Menton bus (CARF).
CARF – Compagnie des Transports de la Riviera – covers Menton, Castellar, Castillon, Sainte-Agnès, Gorbio, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Beausoleil and La Turbie.
CG06 – Transport in the Alpes-Maritimes. Buses from Menton to Castellar, Cannes to Grasse, Pont-du-Loup, Tourettes, Gattières, Vence, Nice, and St. Jeannet
Icilà d’envibus dial a ride which is useful for Courmes, Gourdon and Tourettes sur Loup.
Lignes d’Azur - Bus service covering 24 communes in the Alpes-Maritimes including Nice, St-Laurent du Var, St-Martin-du-Var, La Gaude, St-Jeannet, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villefranche-sur-Mer and the Valleys of Paillon and La Banquière. A transport on demand service, called Créabus, is available.
Sillages STGA (Syndicat Intercommunal des Transports Grasse-Antibes)
A complete, regular urban transport bus service for Grasse, Le Tignet, Pegomas, Antibes, Valbonne and Cannes central.
Bus Azur - Transport for Cannes, Le Cannet, and Mandelieu la Napoule. Maybe useful for the redirected path on Stage 11.
AggloBus – Transport in the Fréjus – St Raphaël community. Buses to La Bouverie and Roquebrune-sur-Argens
varlib - Coordinated by Var – Conseil Général. Covers the area west of St Raphael – Fréjus, including buses that go to or nearby Bagnols en Foret, Le Muy, Roquebrune sur Argens, Grimaud, Cogolin, Bormes les Mimosas, Puget Ville, Belgentier, Sollies, Toulon, Ollioules, and L:a Cadiere d’Azur.
Radio Taxis Fréjus – 24 hour taxi service in Fréjus area. They have enough cars to be available whenever or wherever you phone in the area.
Toulon – réseau Mistral – covers bus and boats in the Toulon area.
Les-Bouches-du-Rhône: Le Pilote – website for transport in Bouches-du-Rhône including Cassis and Aubagne.
TRANS’BUS – Urban links for buses including Marseille, Aubagne and la Ciotat.
Marseille – Régie des Transports de Marseille – bus and boat maps and timetables. Covers useful bus routes that can be accessed from Les Calanques.
