If you go to the IGN website http://loisirs.ign.fr/11/cartes/randonnee-france.htm and then click on the green graphic link top right of the page ‘recherche carte de randonnee’ then a map of France appears and you can then click to see areas of the path at either 1: 8000 or 16 000 or 1:32 000. Adjust using the scale on the right between Rue and Ville. Click on the map to move to the next sections of the path.

We tried this and it worked although you may want to have a spare battery and the paper map sometimes gives you a better feel for the whole terrain.
