  2. Very interesting Did not realize the extent of Victoria s relations and how involved the family were in all of the conflicts of the times Unfortunately there were some grammatical errors and what I consider editorial mistakes.

  3. DisappointingAfter watching Queen Victoria on PBS, and learning she had pretty much a lonely childhood, I thought this book would delve into her relationships with her cousins, but it wasabout them individually.

  4. I learned quite a bit about the events going on in that time period Felt that the chronological ordering made it confusing to keep track of who was who Would have been easier to read about each cousin s entire life all at once.

  5. Lots of good information If you enjoy books with lots of information about the royal families of Europe this is a good choice I learned quite a bit that I hadn t heard of before.

  6. Good history, but a little confusing at times Really needs proofread and edited.

  7. FascinatingIf you ve read books on Queen Victoria, this will make a good new addition I haven t found a book like it, a book comprising information about her extended relations, her cousins from both mother and father Some of the cousins from her mother s side of the family I was aware of but didn t think she was related to, like her Mensdoff Pouilly relations, who held a high officer position in Austria It s interesting insight to the other Coburgs branch of the family like the Kohary branch FascinatingIf you ve read books on Queen Victoria, this will make a good new addition I haven t found a book like it, a book comprising information about her extended relations, her cousins from both mother and father Some of the cousins from her mother s side of the family I was aware of but didn t think she was related to, like her Mensdoff Pouilly relations, who held a high officer position in Austria It s interesting insight to the other Coburgs branch of the family like...

  8. I enjoyed this book As I was always fascinated by the fact that so many of Europe s monarchs were related, this book sorted it out a bit It gave some insight too to the state of Europe before WWI Even Downton Abbey is late in this period Broken into chapters each with its own theme or story, made it an easy read though not completely chronological Repeated use of given names and titles still made for some confusion but that can hardly be helped So many sad dramas played against the backdro I enjoyed this book As I was always fascinated by the fact that so many of Europe s monarchs were related, this book sorted it out a bit It gave some insight too to the state of Europe before WWI Even Downton Abbey is late in this period Broken into chapters each with its own theme or story, made it an easy read though not completely chronological Repeated use of given names and titles still...

  9. An interesting, previously unmentioned addition to the books about the circle around Queen Victoria Interesting to read about the many cousins who previously were unknown to me Only issue is lack of family tree in the Kindle edition, which would have helped in sorting through who...

  10. Though this book jumped around a little bit, I throughly enjoyed reading about the families that were connected to Queen Victoria.
